I’m missing writing about dog buddies so…

Several years ago I had a lovely English Setter, named Sam.  English setters are in the hunting dog category and are one of the oldest breeds of hunting dogs, or so I’ve read.  They are often used for hunting birds and will fetch downed birds and will point with foreleg and tail when spotting one in the brush.

I’m certainly not a huntress, but I love the beauty of the white and black, brown, or caramel spotted dogs with long wavy hair.  Particularly, I love their quiet, loving nature and their gentleness.

In my quest to continue my writer journey, I have begun to write a YA novel, which features a beautiful black and white English setter, named Harry, who has all the positive traits I mentioned above, in addition to being smart, and able to help solve a mystery.  We’ll have to just see how it all works out for Harry and Nina, a kind high school student who is being bullied and ultimately stalked and threatened. Hopefully, the book will be ready to publish this Spring. More to come!
