Gratitude

What am I grateful for this week before Thanksgiving? Many things!

I’m grateful to you and all those who read my posts and books!  You have made my year exciting and enjoyable.

I am certainly grateful that I was able to publish my books, Baxter Tales: Personally Transformed By A Basset Hound Who Taught Me About Coping With Change, and Do You Know How to Talk With Your Young Child? Learn the 4step Approach to Converse and Connect. The books just seemed to be needing to be written. These have been challenging months, learning lots of new and necessary information.  And I’m not finished learning yet!

One of the most satisfying experiences during the past month has been teaching T’ai Chi Chih students and seeing them become aware of the energy flow through their bodies as they relax into the movements.  The delight in their expressions brings me joy! I have been privileged to teach in various venues in the past month where students have been enthusiastic about the gentle movements, the improvement in focus and concentration, and the increase in leg and foot strength as well as improved balance. What a terrific technique that I am grateful for practicing and teaching!

While I prefer hot summer months, I have been grateful for the bright, cool (even cold) days of fall, walking my sweet dog Calli and anticipating the winter holidays of Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and Valentine’s Day.  Seasons of bright decorations, family and friend gatherings, and the opportunity to plan and make special foods.

As always, I am grateful for all those who have come before me and those who make my life one of relative ease by doing those things I could not do alone. I am grateful for my terrific husband and son, for my life, my breath, and my ability to move, think, speak, hear, learn, focus, love, and be loved. I am grateful for living in a peaceful environment where I can move and communicate freely.

Thank you for indulging me in my reverie of gratitude.  I hope you will take an opportunity to make a gratitude list, finding that you too have many blessings.

Take care and be well,

Suanne
