“In our time we have come to the stage where the real work of humanity begins.  It is the time where we partner Creation in the creation of ourselves, in the restoration of the biosphere, the regenesis of society and in the assuming of a new type of culture; the culture of Kindness…”

-Jean Houston (Scholar, researcher, philosopher, and visionary)

Do you ever get so busy that you lose sight of the underlying reason for your busyness, focusing too much instead on attaining your goals and intended achievements?

Today, as I practiced T’ai Chi Chih and got back to my inspirational reading, the quote above reminded me of the reason behind my busyness and my desire to communicate what I believe to be our deep human need to move ever closer to practicing awareness, effective communication, keen observation, understanding, and respect.

During the past few months, publishing Baxter Tales, and completing Do You Know How to Talk with Your Child? Learn 4 Steps to Converse and Connect, I lost conscious focus of my underlying motivation but fortunately maintained momentum for accomplishing my goals.

I’m glad I took the opportunity to pause long enough to regain perspective on my purpose in attempting to be a positive influence in the world, no matter how small.  I hope you’ll join me in focusing on developing a “culture of Kindness,” as well as taking the time to relax and savor our blessings.

Be well, my friends!
